VEGANUARY AND PLANT-BASED SHOWCASE EVENT

With the number of consumers moving toward a plant-based diet rapidly increasing, at Classic Fine Foods, our goal is to ensure your business stays on top of the latest trends and can cater to all dietary requirements.

For that reason, in 2022 our plant-based category was extended to more than 70 products for cuisine and pastry and it will continue growing in 2023! This is thanks to our plant-based category manager Ash Parkes, who joined Classic Fine Foods last year and since then he is bringing his experience and expertise, offering an excellent service to all our customers.

In order to celebrate our commitment, this year we wanted to celebrate it like we have never done before with our first Veganuary and plant-based showcase.

The event was hosted with all our plant-based partners for cuisine and pastry including Tindle, Julienne Bruno, Redefine Meat, Fable Food, Yumgo and Bebetter.

Our plant-based specialist Ash invited all our customers who had the opportunity to learn about these incredible brands in person, and more importantly, taste the amazing products that they offer.

Meet our partners

Tindle

Tindle is the creator of a great ‘chicken’ that smells, cooks and tastes like a chicken thigh but it’s made from plants.

Their extensive research into ‘what makes chicken taste so good’ has resulted in the creation of Lipi™; a unique blend of plant-based fats and flavour that gives the distinctive aroma, taste and cookability of chicken.

Driven by sustainability, Tindle offers a product that helps reduce our environmental footprint, using less land, water and GHG emissions than chicken. In addition, their plant-based chicken is made from all natural, no-GMO ingredients that are high in protein, making their product not only good for the environment but for your health too.

Julienne Bruno

Based in London, Julienne Bruno was set up by a group of passionate chefs, devoted to creating delicious everyday dairy products from humble plant-based ingredients.

The company is at the forefront on plant-based gastronomy, bringing together innovative techniques and simple, natural produce to show how exciting plant-based products can be.

Their product range is increasing and, at present, their star products, available at Classic Fine Foods include:

BURRELLA: A real vegan showstopper! Super firm on the outside and creamy on the inside, perfect for pairing with salads, focaccia or on top of pasta dishes.

SUPERSTRACCIA: A versatile, creamy, dairy-free cheese that melts in the mouth. Ideal for adding to pizzas, salads, roasted vegetables and salads.

CREMATTA: With a light and creamy texture, this plant-based cream cheese is perfect for adding to pasta sauces, sandwiches and desserts.

Redefine Meat

Redefine Meat produces a plant-based meat that gratifies on every level. Their products have a meaty taste and superior texture delivering real meat experience thanks to their industrial-size 3D printer that creates meat cuts, layer-by-layer, by printing materials made from plant-based ingredients.

When the 3D printing process is finished, Redefine Meat products look, taste, and feel like the muscle, fat, and blood of a typical cut of meat—without slaughtering cows or other animals.

All Redefine Meat meats are made from sustainable ingredients, with no GMOs, hormones, antibiotics, cholesterol, or animal-based products.

At Classic Fine Foods we currently stock the following Redefine Meat products: plant-based beef mince, plant-based burger, plant-based lamb and beef flank, plant based kebab and plant-based sausages.

Fable Food

Fable has created a braised vegan meat made from all natural elements where the star ingredient is shitake mushrooms.

Shitake mushrooms provide a meaty, umami flavour and many nutritious benefits including high level of fibre, vitamin D and a great source of protein. So, overall, Fable Mushroom Meat is both a healthy and delicious plant base option!

In addition, Fable Food is very versatile and easy to cook, being ideal for pasta, noodle dishes, tacos, stews and many more delicious recipes.

Based in Australia, Fable Food is a pioneer in meat alternative focused on rewriting the narrative of food with animals as characters, not ingredients.

Yumgo

Yumgo is a pioneer in the world of plant-based eggs, offering professional chefs a solution to plant-based cooking without having to alter their recipes. Their commitment to innovation and sustainability is reflected in the range of impressive egg alternatives that have the same properties and uses as eggs.

At Yumgo, it is important that the company's products do not compromise on the flavour, look and texture qualities of eggs. Their products can be used in the same quantities and ways as eggs.

Yumgo is committed to protecting the environment, animal welfare and health with their range of plant-based products. Their products are allergen free and high in protein and fiber. The company aims to reduce their carbon footprint as a company by 99%.

Bebetter

With pure taste and a clear conscience, Be Better butter gives consumers the luxury of choice and the right to decide how to balance their love of planet and pastry.

Plant Based Butter is made from a plant-fat blend for a light and fresh mouthfeel and neutral flavour for a pure taste.

Plant Based Butter identical to animal-based butter in behaviour and melting point and has an easy 1:1 ingredient swap. Free from hydrogenated fats, palm oil, artificial colours and flavours.
