Juan Pedro Domecq is a family-owned company and a pioneer in the ham business. With their 100 years of breeding know-how, they only produce 100% pure "lampiño" pigs, as after years of genetic studies they are considered the best for making Iberico ham. The company controls all stages of production, from the breeding and rearing of their exclusive breed '100% pure Iberico pigs'.

The pigs are free to roam in the Dehesa, the Acorn woods, for at least 21 months, and it is those acorns that make up the bulk of their diet before slaughter, boosting their fat production and flavour.

The company's tradition and know-how that has resulted in a very singular Iberico pig is based on their genetic studies, in search of the ideal breed to produce the best Iberico meat. Their meat is very juicy, and tender with an inimitable taste.

Their hams are naturally cured in the company's own cellars in the Jabugo area for 42 months under the constant care of their Master Ham-maker. The Pure Iberico Bellota has a stunning flavour, lovely and sweet, a beautiful aroma and a tender, not too-fatty texture. Their hams in pre-sliced packs have been hand-carved to ensure the perfect thickness so they melt in the mouth.

Beyond the highest quality, Juan Pedro Domecq only has a limited production each year to ensure only the finest products, resulting in achieving three stars at the Great Taste Awards four years in a row.
