Porketto has ultimate traceability from birth of pig to final product. Their ear tag identification system, unique to each farm, facilitates tracking and following of the chain. Their producers and merchants are also mainly located in the North of France and Brittany.
Their suckling pigs are fed on its mother’s milk and a diet of top-quality feed and grains to help the meat become succulent and tender. Between the ages of two to six weeks, the piglets are slaughtered humanely.
The company controls the entire process of production as the selection, slaughtering, processing, and packing are all done in-house.
