The cattle graze in the temperate climate of the southern island of Kyushu, with plenty of sun, clean air, and fresh spring water. Akune Gold Wagyu cattle are fed pasture grass and rice straw during the rearing and fattening stages. They are given a nutritious feed, which helps ensure the trademark marbling in the meat. This natural rearing process translates into the taste of the Wagyu, which is rich and well-balanced.
With some of the highest marbling in the world, it has a very low melting point, a rich buttery flavour and melt-in-the-mouth texture.
