Handmade in Brittany, France, Bordier Seaweed Butter Pyramid has a smooth texture and unique salty, iodized flavour that pairs perfectly with seafood and fish.

Bordier Seaweed Butter Pyramid has a generously smooth texture and natural flavour that reflects the luscious fields the cows graze on, which change as the seasons do. Bordier was the first brand to create a seaweed butter, which has now become a favourite amongst Michelin-starred chefs.

Bordier Seaweed Butter Pyramid is made from 100% natural and young seaweed harvested by fishermen in Finstere, Western France. The seaweed is only harvested twice a year to allow it to grow to full size.

A taste of the seas, Bordier Seaweed Butter is perfect for adding to seafood pasta dishes, bisques or risottos.

Bordier Seaweed Butter Pyramid is so good because of the unique method of churning. Le Beurre Bordier is the last artisan butter maker in France to still use a traditional wooden teak paddles known as the Malaxeur to knead the butter gradually. This can last for up to 30 minutes depending on the season. The result is a butter with an intense flavour and an incredibly smooth texture.

Chef's tip for Bordier butter: It is best to remove the butter from the refrigerator a few minutes before you begin preparing it.

Bordier butter is used by some of the most esteemed chefs around the globe. It's founder, Jean-Yves Bordier comes from generations of cheesemongers and has made the art of butter-making his life-long devotion.
