An intense yet light vegan chocolate cake using Yumgo plant based liquid egg yolk. This decadent dessert is a real crowd pleaser and totally vegan!

Ingredients

  • 100g of Yumgo Vegan Liquid Egg Yolk 
  • 225g chocolate
  • 180g BeBetter plant based butter
  • 200g sugar
  • 62.5g rice flour
  • 70g cornstarch
  • 25g potato starch
  • 3g baking powder
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 100g water

Method

  • Melt butter in a pan.
  • Add YUMGO Yellow then the water and heat everything.
  • In a bowl, mix chocolate and sugar.
  • Add the hot liquid mixture which will gently melt the chocolate. Mix with a whisk.
  • Add sifted flour, salt, baking powder, potato starch and cornstarch.
  • For a very smooth and shiny texture, finish with an electric mixer.
  • Bake at 160°C for 40 to 50 minutes.
  • Leave to cool for 30 minutes and place in the freezer for 1 hour before serving.
