Nicolas Berger Chocolate Event at TheTasteLab

To celebrate the launch of our new chocolate brand, Nicolas Berger, we hosted a tasting event at TheTasteLab on the 24th May. This event was an amazing opportunity to showcase Nicolas Berger’s impressive range of single origin chocolate couvertures.

We invited our customers to learn more about the brand from Nicolas Berger himself. Through talks and tastings the guests were taken on an exploration of chocolate, its different origins and tasting notes.

As well as tasting the chocolates on their own, our guests were presented with a selection of simple recipes made by Nicolas Berger himself and designed to highlight the flavour profiles of the couvertures.

On the Menu:

75% Venezuela hot chocolate, with indulgent, buttery notes and a slight astringency.

65% Vietnam Ganache, with a light fruit acidity, mineral and iodized notes.

60% Peru Ganache, with notes of cinnamon, star anise, caramel and tonka bean.

75% Peru Chocolate Bar, with notes of cinnamon, star anise, caramel and tonka bean.

65% Cuba Mousse, with notes of roasted dried fruits, caramel and blond tobacco.

65% Colombia Mousse, with notes of milk, a scent of orange and a delicate bitterness.

50% Madagascan With Salted Caramel Chocolate Bar, with notes of currants, sour cherries, myrtle and vanilla.

After Dinner Hot Chocolate, made with Sao Tome 65% with Lakes Reflections Whisky 54%, with notes of raw cocoa and tannic fermentation.

Overall, the event at TheTasteLab was a huge success, and we were delighted with the feedback from our guests. It was a pleasure to have so many of our customers join us for this event and we look forward to hosting more events like this in the future!
