Launch of our Premium Japanese Collection at Classic Fine Foods

This month at Classic Fine Foods, we have launched a premium Japanese collection. Wanting to offer products for every customer’s needs, we have curated a wonderful range of authentic, premium and artisan Japanese grocery products, from the essentials to the more niche and innovative products.

Our range of selected healthy and delicious Japanese products are coming directly from expert craftsman with traditional know-how and generations of experience. This range will help your customers discover the many Japanese flavours, still quite unknown in Europe.

We will be offering a range of product categories:

Yuzu and Other Japanese Citrus

Japan is rich in many citruses still largely unknown in Europe. Discover a variety of juice and other Japanese citrus based products such as the famous yuzu and sudachi.

Japanese Soy Sauces

Soy sauce is a fermented product usually made from soybeans, wheat and salt that can be used on its own or as a base for other sauces There are various types of soy sauces depending on the percentage of ingredients, the fermenting time and the production method, including smoked, white and transparent soy sauces.

Japanese Ponzu Sauces

Ponzu is a highly popular sauce in Japan that combines soy sauce, dashi, vinegar and citrus juice. We offer a selection of ponzu made by citruses or soy sauces producers that have their own ponzu recipes.

Japanese Vinegars

Vinegar is a staple of the Japanese cuisine especially thanks to its versatility. Discover here a wide variety of Japanese vinegars suitable for both sweet and savoury preparations as well as for cocktails.

Japanese Sauces and Seasonings

Dashi

Dashi is a staple of Japanese cuisine. It is mainly made of a broth of kombu seaweed and dried bonito. This broth is traditionally used to make miso soup but is also the base of many noodle dishes as well as to cook vegetables, meat and fish.

Japanese Miso

Miso is a fermented cereal paste that is one of the main ingredients of Japanese cuisine. Miso can be distinguished by its fermentation time and is traditionally used combined with dashi soup stock to make miso soup but can also be used to make marinades and even great in sweet dishes.

Sesames and Furikake

Consumed for more than 1300 years in Japan, noodles are a staple of Japanese cuisine and there are plenty of varieties in Japan such as udon and soba noodles, depending on your taste.

Spices and Condiments

Japanese Seaweeds
