Polenta (Non-stock Item)

For 200 years, Sabarot have been producing authentic French dried pulses and grains for chefs around the world. With close relationships to their farmers, they are able to select the best quality raw ingredients for their products.

Made from corn flour, Polenta is an Italian cupboard staple. Polenta is a perfect accompaniment to meat and vegetables and great for adding texture to cakes.

Chef's tip: In a thick-bottomed saucepan, boil 250mL of milk with 250ml of water. Remove from the heat, pour in the polenta and stir vigorously with a whisk to avoid lumps forming. Return to low heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
