Making up 97% of wagyu on the market, Kagoshima Wagyu is a Japanese wagyu that is world-renowned for its quality and impressive marbling.
Kagoshima Wagyu is a Japanese black breed raised on the tropical Kyushu Island in the Kagoshima prefecture of Southern Japan.
The cattle graze in the temperate climate of the island with plenty of sun and are fed on grains for over 600 days. This natural rearing process translates into the taste of the wagyu which is rich and well-balanced.
With some of the highest marbling in the world, it has a very low melting point, a rich buttery flavour and melt in the mouth texture.
